"A Ke, perhaps for a sea demon, ten years pass in the blink of an eye." Liszt spoke somewhat wistfully. He had not only calculated when A Ke would reach adulthood, but also inferred how long she might live.

Forty-one plus twelve equaled fifty-three.

She would not reach adulthood until fifty-three. Based on humans reaching adulthood at sixteen and living for a hundred years, sea demons probably had a lifespan of around three hundred and thirty years.

Great Elves lived for two hundred years, Dragon Elves for five hundred, and sea demons fell somewhere in between.

Three hundred and thirty years—at twenty-five years per generation, humans might have produced more than a dozen generations by then. If Liszt did not become a Dragon Domain Lord, perhaps it would be his grandson's grandson's grandson's grandson who attended A Ke's funeral. The thought was rather amusing.

"Humans only live a hundred years. Can A Ke live for three hundred and thirty?" A Ke looked a little lost. "But, Brother, A Ke doesn't want to live that long. Mm, it's enough if A Ke lives as long as Brother."

Liszt took her little hand and kissed it, saying gently, "That is only a calculation. Perhaps you will live even longer, or perhaps you will not reach three hundred. Let the future decide what belongs to the future. Sooner or later, I will ride a dragon and become a Dragon Rider. Becoming a Dragon Domain Lord along the way would not be bad either. That way, I could live four or five hundred years."

A Ke grinned and let Liszt hold her hand. "Mm-hmm, Brother can become a Dragon Domain Lord. Then A Ke and Brother can both live for hundreds of years!"
