The war had long since begun. The Sapphire Grand Duchy's knights had joined the conflict, mainly serving to harass and tie down more of the Eagle Kingdom's knight orders.
After resting in Cockscomb City for a day, the fleets set sail one after another, attacking the designated Sardine Bay region.
Marquis Pheasant Plume also dispatched a large number of his followers to accompany the Sapphire Grand Duchy's fleet in attacking the Sardine Bay region. Aboard the Tulip Family's fleet were Count Bluestone, a follower of Marquis Pheasant Plume, and the nearly one thousand knights under his command.
"Herbert, this is my second son, Liszt. He is the Viscount of Black Horse Island, an elite Earth Knight," Leewilliam introduced aboard the ship to Count Bluestone, who had just come aboard.
"A very handsome young man. He looks quite young—Liszt, how old are you?" Count Bluestone Herbert asked.
"Seventeen, Count Bluestone."
The noble titles of the continental kingdoms were not named after places, but were honorifics associated with their fiefs. Marquis Pheasant Plume's title, for instance, was "Pheasant Plume," meaning the feathers of a wild pheasant, derived from his fief, Cock Pheasant Hills. The major city at the heart of that fief was also called Cockscomb City.
Count Bluestone was much the same. His fief was Bluestone Valley, where a kind of blue stone covered the land.
As for his full name, it was Herbert Iron Pendant Orchid.
Iron Pendant Orchid was a type of flower.
The naming of surnames in the continental kingdoms was not much different from that in the Sapphire Grand Duchy—serfs among the common folk basically had no surnames; wealthy freefolk might possess lowly surnames; some minor nobles retained such lowly surnames, while others changed them to ordinary ones.
Only middle- and high-ranking nobles could use fine words
