February arrived before anyone realized it.

Snow still drifted down intermittently from the sky, and the serfs of Black Horse Island and Flower Town continued working through the heavy snowfall. Liszt, who was researching wood, received a message from Tulip Castle delivered by a knight, inviting him to a banquet. The banquet was meant to celebrate his younger brother Lytton's breakthrough to Earth Knight.

"An Earth Knight at fourteen. Lytton's birthday seems to be in November, which means he's actually only thirteen years and a few months old." After having the butler entertain the messenger knight, Liszt did not accept the invitation. "That talent is indeed quite good—better than Levis was back then."

He had no interest in following what Lytton might become in the future.

After casually having the butler prepare a congratulatory gift, he returned to his research—given his current status, he no longer needed to care what others thought. If he did not wish to attend a banquet, not even the Count could force him. No one in the Tulip Family would, or dared to, blame him.

Strength was confidence.

"In another month, I'll turn eighteen. The five charged moves in Red Sun Rising, Fire Burning should nearly all be mastered as well... Once I've finished cultivating them, I'll challenge the Count and see just how large the gap between me and a Sword Saint really is."

He was confident that, relying on the formidable attributes of Dragon Dou Qi, he could face the Count one-on-one.

But before they actually fought, it was difficult to predict the result directly. Too many factors affected battles between Sky Knights; it was not merely a contest of Dou Qi.
