The Light Green Gem Dragon's head swam, yet it did not dare stop for even an instant. Its body was already battered beyond recognition, while its dragon rider, united with it in mind and spirit, had died on the spot.
In more than four hundred years of dragon life, this was its bleakest defeat. Even when it had hidden and fled everywhere during its youth, it had never endured such hardship.
It did not like the sea.
Yet because of Carlo and the Eagle Kingdom, it had been forced to cross a thousand miles of ocean and come here for a bloody battle. Had it won, it could at least have enjoyed the fruits of victory. Instead, it had suffered a crushing defeat and nearly left its own life on the battlefield. That magus who stood upon a shell, and that mad Fire Dragon rider, both made its heart tremble.
"Carlo is a complete piece of trash!"

Fury flashed through the Light Green Gem Dragon's heart, and it opened its mouth in an enraged roar.
But it pulled at the wound on its neck, causing another gush of dragon blood to spray out. Frightened, it snapped its jaws shut, afraid that it truly would bleed to death. Even dragons standing at the pinnacle of power feared death. At least in the prime of its life, the Light Green Gem Dragon did not wish to die.
