In this battle at sea, Liszt had no intention of riding a dragon around flaunting his might. That would be far too high-profile, like using a butcher's cleaver to kill a chicken.
So he simply brought Loki along, intending to ride him around and capture Sky Knights.
Loki was merely an intermediate dragon beast, and his flying speed was rather average. However, he excelled at jumping, able to leap from one ship to another. He was especially suited for boarding battles, where he could capture Sky Knights trying to flee. The only thing to watch out for was being shot dead by arrows.
After all, Loki was only a slightly stronger dragon beast, and his defense was not particularly strong.
Starting from the third day of departure, the Sapphire fleet began encountering fleets from the Eagle Kingdom. Without question, these scattered fleets would be seized and their crews captured, even if they claimed to be sailing for trade. From the fourth day onward, they encountered more and more ships, and on the fifth day, they even ran into entire fleets.
Liszt had basically not acted during the first five days. Since he had not seen many Sky Knights, he could not be bothered to compete with Sapphire's knight orders for credit.

By then, quite a few Sky Knights of the Eagle Kingdom were appearing aboard the ships. Seeing this, Liszt happily rode Loki around. Whenever he spotted an arrogant knight—namely, a Sky Knight who was beating Sapphire's knights into submission—he would have Loki charge over.
