The evolution of Keli, the Gourd Great Elf, was cause for celebration.
Still, Liszt could not help feeling somewhat disappointed, because it was not a potion or grain-type elf that had evolved, but a Gourd Elf.
In this world, gourds were much the same as those on Earth, capable of bearing little gourds.
At present, little gourds had two uses. When tender, they could be stir-fried and eaten as a vegetable; when mature, they could be used to hold wine, serving as containers for liquids. But neither use held much potential: gourds yielded poorly as vegetables, and as water flasks, they had too little capacity.
"Forget it. Becoming a Great Elf is enough. Everything else is just floating clouds." Liszt held Keli close and affectionately fussed over him.
Just then, a cry of "Wuwa!" rang out.
Keli immediately shot out of Liszt's arms, his eyes wide as he glared at Zyra, the Bramble Great Elf floating at the doorway. He kept calling out to Liszt, "Bugi bugi!"
He was asking for help.

With her hands clasped behind her back, Zyra flew over haughtily. "Liszt, this little elf won't behave. It's been causing trouble all over the castle. It needs to be taught a proper lesson!"
"You can teach it, but you cannot lay a hand on an elf. It just told me that you hit it a few days ago." Liszt was looking forward to Zyra's catfish effect, but physical violence was not permitted—an elf that got scolded might get angry and evolve, but an elf that got beaten might end up ruined.
"I didn't hit it, wuwa!" Zyra shot Keli a glare, then said to Liszt, "I was only frightening it. Now that I'm a Great
