The Seal Revealed: Sealing Black Zetsu

This was Toji's first time seeing Black Zetsu's true form with his own eyes.

Compared to the appearance it would take after merging with White Zetsu, Black Zetsu's current form was purer and more primitive, merely possessing a rudimentary humanoid shape.

But its abilities had not been weakened because of that.

Black Zetsu itself possessed almost no power for direct combat and could only use Wood Release to cast basic ninjutsu against ordinary fodder.

What truly made it troublesome were its special abilities. In theory, it could parasitize any ninja, seize control of their body, and meld with the earth to travel and lurk freely underground.

When it came to staying alive, Black Zetsu was undoubtedly among the very best in the Shinobi World.

Because he was using Danzo's body, even with only five meters between them, Toji was not absolutely certain he could seal Black Zetsu.

He needed to get closer.

Toji controlled Danzo's body and mimicked Danzo's usual arrogant tone as he spoke first. "Zetsu, it's been a long time."

"Lord Danzo is certainly cautious. You actually stationed so many guards around the perimeter."

Black Zetsu kept its distance from Danzo. It stood where it was and used its unique sensory ability to scan Danzo. Only after confirming that there was nothing wrong did it speak.

It and Danzo were half-partners, each taking what they needed from the other.

Indra's reincarnation was currently in a dormant period and had yet to awaken the Rinnegan.

Black Zetsu had to wait until the other party awakened the Rinnegan before its resurrection plan could enter the next stage. At that point, it would approach Madara Uchiha as an incarnation of will, use the blueprint for Infinite Tsukuyomi as bait, and exploit Madara to complete the core step of resurrecting Mother Kaguya.
