Ian Prince stood beside the Time Machine, just about to step into the cabin, when a warm golden light descended from the sky and enveloped him completely.
Unlike the glaring, sickly light of the evil gods, this radiance was as gentle and full of life as the dawn.
"Ian Prince." The voice of Ra, the sun god, rang directly in his mind. "The hope you have brought to this world deserves a special reward."
This was a blessing as well.
Different from the blessings bestowed by the king and queen of the underworld before.
A blessing from the king of gods took effect upon Ian. The golden light gradually condensed into countless tiny runes that flowed into his body like liquid gold. He felt an unprecedented warm power coursing through his veins, merging perfectly with his own magic.
"From this day forth, your White Magic shall be empowered by the divine power of the sun."
Ra's voice was solemn yet benevolent. "Light shall become the source of your strength, and shadows shall retreat before you. This is the sun's gift to its guardian."
Feeling the divine power surging within him, Ian could not help but grow solemn. "Thank you for your grace, Your Majesty. I will make good use of this power and never betray the sun's trust."
A hint of amusement flickered in Ra's golden eyes. "Go, traveler through time. Your mission is not yet complete. Greater challenges await you in the future."
His words seemed to carry a deeper meaning, but Ian did not catch it. Staring at his materials procurement list, Ian only felt like a workhorse for Claire, the Female Titan.
