To his left, roughly a dozen kilometers from his current position, a fork had appeared beside this seemingly endless main corridor! The branch extended only a short distance inward, ending at a door! A massive stone door carved whole from some kind of dark, dull rock!

From the blurry images transmitted back by the "Kamaitachi," the patterns carved upon that door differed from every design he had seen before. They were more concrete, yet also far more sinister—countless eyes and tentacles twisted together, forming an inward-spiraling vortex that seemed capable of devouring souls!

Even the sensation conveyed through the image made Ian's mental power sting with intense rejection.

"Over there..."

Ian abruptly opened his eyes, a sharp glint and resolve flashing through them. Whether there was an exit beyond that door or even greater danger, it was at least a clear "variable."

Anything was better than wandering blindly through this endless corridor!

"Even if it's a dragon's den or a tiger's lair, I have to break in." He stopped hesitating and immediately cast a spell. A Flying Cloak glittering with starlight appeared behind him. "Another door, more doors. How many doors have I run into these past few days? Am I cursed to clash with doors this year? Damn it!" Ian cautiously approached, his magical senses fully spread out.

What he found surprised him.

There were no particularly powerful magical fluctuations on this great door, nor were there any complex alchemical runes guarding it. It simply felt ancient and heavy.
