Geography

The Far North is a vast, treeless ice plain defined by perpetual snow and howling cold winds. Its harsh environment is home to a greater variety of ice-attribute soul beasts and more powerful races than the Frozen Forest. 11

• Outer perimeter — Usually inhabited by ten-year and hundred-year soul beasts; the appearance of a super soul beast there is considered extraordinary. 12
• Core area — Contains the Ice and Snow Palace, seat of the Snow Empress and Ice Empress. 3 11
• Ice and Snow Palace — A magnificent palace within the core area. Its interior is refreshingly cold rather than unbearable, while its original hall is largely empty except for an ice throne. 3 13
• Ice God Inheritance Site — A hidden ice cavern exposed after an avalanche. It holds a statue of the Ice God and grants the Nine Trials of the Ice God to a qualified discoverer. 4

Inhabitants

• Snow Empress — One of the Far North’s rulers. She resides in the Ice and Snow Palace and bears responsibility for the region, preventing her from leaving it for long. 3 16
• Ice Empress — One of the Far North’s rulers; a 380,000-year super soul beast who can use the Eternal Frozen Domain. 3 12 16
• Titan Snow Demon King — A ruler of the Far North encountered during Yu Tianjue’s simulated upbringing; he was hostile toward the human child. 3
• Ice Bear King Xiao Bai — A Far North ruler encountered during the simulation, characterized as frequently smiling foolishly. 3
• Mystic Ice Earth-Splitting Dragon — A rare ice-attribute sub-dragon. A critically injured thousand-year specimen was brought to Yu Tianjue by the Ice Empress and became his first soul ring through sacrifice. 14 15
• Ice Jade Scorpions — Top-tier predators of the region, noted for their lethal ice pincers and potential to provide claw-type soul skills or soul bones. 11

Faith and Divine Legacy

The soul beasts of the Far North share a common faith in the Ice God. The Snow Empress regards the Ice God’s position as especially suited to an Ice Dragon King martial soul, both because it could draw on this faith and because its inheritor could protect the region’s soul beasts. 4

The Ice God’s inheritance was concealed in a bottomless cavern beneath a snow-capped mountain. The cavern contains immense icicles, ice-covered walls marked with glowing patterns, and a profound-ice statue of a woman holding an ice scepter. 4

Known Events

• In Yu Tianjue’s first life simulation, his parents entered the Far North after failing to find a suitable soul ring in the Frozen Forest. He was born there prematurely and later abandoned during a soul-beast attack. 2 3
• The Snow Empress found the infant in the snow and brought him to the Ice and Snow Palace. She and the Ice Empress raised him there. 3
• During the simulation, Yu Tianjue reached level 30 at age twelve with the assistance of soul-beast sacrifices arranged by the Snow Empress. 3
• Yu Tianjue later returned to the region in search of divine inheritance. A hundred-thousand-year soul-beast sacrifice triggered an avalanche that revealed the Ice God’s inheritance site. 4
• In reality, Yu Yuanzhen brought six-year-old Yu Tianjue to the Far North to obtain his first soul ring. Yu Tianjue displayed an unusual sense of familiarity and complete resistance to the cold. 10 11
