The old lady laughed.
Shen Qiao asked curiously, "Does this fish have some kind of meaning?"
"This fish was bought by Xiao Zhao and put in here. Whoever catches it represents someone who can have a wish come true. Last time, Xiao Li caught it. He wished for his family to take him home, and not long after, they came and picked him up."
Xiao Zhao was the director of the nursing home, while Xiao Li was another resident in his sixties. To the old lady, who was over ninety, he was merely a junior.
"Then congratulations, Grandma Xiao Fang, for catching the fish. Do you have any wishes?"
At that, the old lady shook her head and reclined leisurely in her wheelchair. "My son passed away a few years ago. It doesn't exactly count as the white-haired sending off the black-haired.
