The capital.
Chen Shaoman packed her things while talking to Fan Xinya on the phone.
"Is it really appropriate to head to Jiangcheng so early? The wedding is still two months away, isn't it?" Fan Xinya asked.
"It's better to be early than late. I won't feel at ease until I've personally checked out the hotel and the hall."
After all, since they had to set up the venue for a traditional Chinese wedding, she needed to carefully study both the decorating process and the etiquette required for the wedding itself.
"Alright, then I'll book a high-speed rail ticket too. But where are we supposed to stay for these two months?" Fan Xinya continued.
"My dear in-law, you can stay with us."
How could there possibly be no place for Fan Xinya to stay if she was going with Chen Shaoman?
"Alright then... my dear in-law."
Fan Xinya thought it would be a good chance to strengthen her relationship with her in-laws.
Chen Shaoman was Luo Ye's aunt. At first, Fan Xinya had not known how to address her, but after hearing Chen Shaoman call her an in-law, she began calling her the same.
Come to think of it, Chen Shaoman had previously called her Sister Fan.
For some reason, Chen Shaoman was always changing the way she addressed people... perhaps she was forgetful.
After hanging up, Chen Shaoman had already picked up her suitcase, looking ready to leave.
When she turned around, she discovered Gu Ransheng was still sitting at the table drinking tea. She immediately snapped, "Old Gu! What do you mean by this?"
The sudden shout made Gu Ransheng, who had been savoring the rich fragrance of his tea, tremble all over. Tea splashed out of his cup.
He stared at Chen Shaoman in shock and disbelief.
