One by one, huge shipping containers were lifted by cranes and placed aboard the cargo ships docked nearby.
Beside a small supermarket near the port, where workers did their shopping.
A tall, thin man in a gray trench coat and round cap gazed into the distance at the massive, elongated hull of a cargo ship.
"Kairu, you're late," the tall, thin man suddenly said.
"I'm only two minutes late." A burly man in a black jacket walked over from beside the supermarket.
There were two bloody marks on his wrist, and a silver cross hung at his chest. He was none other than the mysterious man who had just fought Lin Sheng.
"You got into a fight?" The tall, thin man glanced at him, looking momentarily surprised before asking in a low voice.
"One of the small jobs I took earlier. I happened to run into someone on the way and figured I'd deal with him while I was at it. I didn't expect him to be any good." Kairu smiled and raised his hand, unconcerned.
"It's fine. Just scraped the skin on my wrist; nothing underneath was hurt. It'll heal in a few days."
The tall, thin man nodded.
"Don't take those small jobs for now. We can't let them interfere with the real business. Still, I'm surprised there's someone here who could hurt you."
His tone was tinged with surprise.
"It's only a superficial injury. I didn't use my gun." Kairu smiled.
"You're being reckless again." Only then did the tall, thin man understand. If Kairu had combined his gun skills with martial arts, with that kind of power, no one in Huaisha City could have escaped his assassination attempt.
"All right, enough about that. Is everyone here?" Kairu's smile faded.
"Everyone's here. We can begin."
