At noon, sunlight descended from the sky like pillars of golden crystal, standing tall upon the ground.

The clouds drifted slowly, and the breeze carried a rich blend of floral fragrances.

The two left the laboratory and happened to run into a group of mage apprentices walking along the main road that ran through the woodland.

All of them held spell journals in their arms as they followed behind a white-haired old mage, apparently preparing to head into the surrounding area for practical lessons.

"Those are the apprentices who joined this year. Quite a few of the older apprentices left after you did. They were probably stimulated by you," Lidu said softly from behind him.

"New apprentices?" Lin Sheng narrowed his eyes. "Any talented ones?"

"I'm not sure, but I heard there's a little girl named Cinderella who's quite good. She's supposedly apprenticed to our Mentor Dora. If she becomes an official mage, she should become your junior sister," Lidu replied.

Lin Sheng nodded in understanding. He remembered Cinderella—the little girl who always called him a second-generation mage. From the aura he sensed from her, she did not seem to be a purebred human.

In truth, Lin Sheng had already begun considering whether he should leave White Rock Woodland and develop on his own.

At present, White Rock Woodland's main help to him lay in spell materials, as well as construct production and sales.

But all of that could actually be developed further by an independent mage with his own team.

In theory, once he became an official mage, he could leave White Rock Woodland.

After that, he would need to train at least one apprentice for the woodland each year and occasionally participate in its regular activities. After five years, he would be free to leave upon graduation.
