Shi Feng's earth dragon carriage came to a stop before a grand castle. Although there were no other players in Thunder Axe City at the moment, a great many NPCs passed through this castle—not only giant NPCs, but also NPCs of many other races.
This grand castle was the City Hall located at the very center of Thunder Axe City.
The entire castle was encircled by towering walls, which were inscribed with numerous Divine Scripts and magic arrays. Its defenses were so formidable that even Tier 5 NPCs could not destroy them. It could be said to be the safest place in all of Thunder Axe City.
Before Shi Feng could even reach the main entrance, the Level 180 Tier 3 NPC guards stationed there stopped him.
"Honorable Bronze Inheritor, this is an important location in Thunder Axe City. You must first have your records registered if you wish to enter." The Tier 3 NPC guard took out a Magic Crystal and spoke to Shi Feng respectfully.
"I understand. Go ahead and register me." Shi Feng nodded.
Thunder Axe City's City Hall differed from that of any other NPC city. In other human cities, players could enter directly. However, in Thunder Axe City, players had to first become nobles of the city, then have their records registered before they would be permitted to enter the City Hall.
The reason for this was the magic arrays around the City Hall. If one's life aura had not been recorded in those arrays, entering the City Hall would subject them to the magic arrays' fierce attacks and suppression.
