Bibi Dong comes from a commoner background and awakens mutated Twin Martial Souls. Qian Xunji takes her as his student when she is six, binding her future to Spirit Hall. Despite her talent, she lacks the great-family backing enjoyed by many of its senior elders 21.

Her attachment to Yu Xiaogang initially shapes her interest in Wang Zhao. Golden Scale resembles Yu Xiaogang's Luo Sanpao, and she first regards Wang Zhao as a test subject whose development might help her former love. After more than half a year together, his ideas and achievements begin to make him an emotional anchor in his own right 5 11.

Following Wang Zhao's abduction from Nuoding City, she introduces herself to him as Wang Dong'er and becomes his teacher in Spirit City.
