Seeing that everyone was cooperating so well, Welt stepped in to fan the flames. "I am also quite curious about this matter, Miss Yukong. After all, I need to ensure the personal safety of the Astral Express crew, and given the current situation on the Luofu... sigh."
As he spoke, Welt thought of the situations the crew had encountered since arriving on the Luofu, and he let out a genuine, heartfelt sigh.
One had to realize that if Xiao Xi hadn't added an extra layer of insurance, a single Lord Ravager would have been enough to threaten the safety of the crew. They could even be said to have run headlong into the enemy the moment they stepped off the train... it was truly something.
"This..." Faced with this group of people who didn't play by the rules, Yukong found herself in a difficult position. "The culprit has yet to be apprehended, but that is not what we should be discussing right now..."
"So, your Luofu would rather make things difficult for a fellow victim than go and find the murderer first?" Stelle asked, feeling somewhat irritable.
"No, that is absolutely not the case. It is just that we cannot yet determine the role the Express played in all of this..." Yukong explained, her expression somewhat pale.
"When it comes down to it, you just don't trust our Express, do you? Since that's the case, I can vouch for the Express. We have absolutely no ill intent toward the Luofu on this trip." As she spoke, Xiao Xi once again revealed that token.
"I vouch for the Astral Express here in my capacity as the President of the Hope Mutual Aid Society. Is that enough?"
"This..." Before Yukong could continue, a pale blue projection appeared behind her.
"Haha, don't be so nervous, Yukong. The reputation of the Astral Express is quite well-known even on the Xianzhou. I believe the members of the Express would never collude with the Stellaron Hunters; they are, after all, mortal enemies." The newly appeared projection said with a smile.
"May I ask who you are...?" Welt asked politely.
"Oh, look at my memory. I forgot to introduce myself to you all. I am Jing Yuan, the current General of the Luofu Xianzhou. I have long heard that the Astral Express is full of talented individuals, and to see you all today is truly a pleasure."
"Thank you for the compliment, General Jing Yuan. May I ask the purpose of your special visit here?" Welt did not let his guard down because of the praise, though his attitude was much better than before.
"It is like this: a single Stellaron is not a difficult problem for the Luofu Xianzhou to solve. What is truly difficult to resolve are the various factions that have mixed in, hoping to fish in troubled waters following the Stellaron's outbreak on the Luofu."
"Therefore, I would like to request the help of the Express crew. Since you all have also developed a grudge against the Stellaron Hunters, I will not hide anything from you."
"Just a few days ago, we on the Luofu Xianzhou captured a Stellaron Hunter who had trespassed into a forbidden area of the Luofu. His name is Blade, and my request has to do with this matter."
"So, the meaning behind the General bringing this up is that you wish to invite us to work with the Xianzhou against the Stellaron Hunters?" Welt asked calmly after hearing Jing Yuan's explanation.
After all, with so much groundwork laid, the final request was naturally going to be related to it. Otherwise, why would Jing Yuan have said all of this?
"Precisely. Previously, while interrogating Blade in the Prison of Deep Seclusion, the Divination Commission—the department on the Luofu Xianzhou specifically responsible for intelligence exchange and information calculation—learned through their deductions about Kafka, an accomplice who had arrived on the Luofu Xianzhou with Blade."
