The armies of both sides began to clash as well. Countless allied soldiers surged toward the Great Wall like a tide, carrying terrifying momentum.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...
Great Qin fired wave after wave of arrows. The arrows traced arcs through the air, piercing enemy bodies with powerful force.
Allied soldiers fell one after another, yet even more surged forward. Great Qin loosed another volley of arrows.
This volley streaked past in trails of light, slicing allied soldiers into several pieces. Blood splattered everywhere; the sight was gruesome and brutal, carrying a nauseating stench.
The rune arrows suppressed the offensive for a while, but Great Qin did not have many of them in reserve. Once the rune arrows were depleted, the allied army continued charging forward with roaring ferocity.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...
The allied army had now entered attack range and fired volley after volley at the walls. Their arrows descended in a torrential rain with razor-sharp force. Great Qin soldiers were struck down one after another, while some let out agonized screams.
By then, some of the allied soldiers had already reached the foot of the walls. They brought out ladders and grappling hooks and began scaling the walls, while Great Qin hurled heavy objects down at them, smashing them from the heights one by one.
The allied forces used spells and skills to conjure boulders, piling them together in an attempt to form steps up the walls. Great Qin poured down vast amounts of burning oil, and a raging blaze erupted, but the allied army quickly extinguished it and continued their assault.
Clang!
A massive, razor-sharp blade light flashed across the sky. Zhao Fu was sent crashing back to the ground by a single slash, blasting out a huge crater as he spat out a mouthful of blood.
