A wisp of the barbarian god's residual soul still remained within the godhead. Zhao Fu conjured black flame and wrapped it around the yellow godhead, burning that wisp of soul to ashes before merging the godhead into his body.
A powerful force spread through Zhao Fu's body, making it radiate a great deal of yellow light. Zhao Fu continuously absorbed that immense divine power and fused it into himself. His back began to sting once more as a yellow barbarian totem emerged.
After refining the barbarian god's corpse, Zhao Fu led his people toward the final temple.
This temple stood at the heart of a dense forest. It was made of wood and covered in many vines, carrying an aura of life. The temple was tall, and two monkeyman statues stood before its entrance.
The two statues wore armor and held broadswords. They had monkey heads, humanlike bodies, monkey fur, and tails. Their expressions were solemn, and they exuded a powerful air.
Just as Zhao Fu and his group were about to enter, a group of monkeymen attacked first. Arrow after arrow shot toward them, carrying fierce force.
Facing the countless incoming arrows, Zhao Fu extended one hand. A vast power surged forth, and a Black Dragon-Pattern Shield spread out with a terrifying aura.
