After glancing at them, Zhao Fu walked over to the female god's corpse and pressed a hand against her head. A stream of power flowed from his hand and seeped into the female god's body, allowing him to sense certain things.

Zhao Fu was now checking whether the god corpses contained godheads, and whether there were remnants of souls within those godheads.

Gods were not easy to kill. Unless they were blasted directly into pulp and even their godheads destroyed, making resurrection impossible, they could revive once more.

This was because they fused a portion of their souls into their godheads. So long as the godhead was not destroyed, they would not truly die. Even if they suffered grievous injuries, or even if their bodies had died, they could enter a state of slumber and slowly recover over time, eventually reviving again.

As Zhao Fu examined the goddess's corpse, he discovered that although her body was dead, it contained a godhead, and that godhead held a soul.

In other words, this goddess had not truly died. She only needed a vast amount of power supplied to her in order to revive.

Zhao Fu then went to the male god's corpse and examined his body. The situation was the same.

To prevent any accidents, Zhao Fu used sealing power to seal both god corpses first, then stored them in his ring.

Finally, Zhao Fu arrived at another temple, located within a cave.

Zhao Fu entered the cave and came before a crude temple. The temple had been built from massive stones, and two stone statues stood at its entrance—two tigers, carved to look ferocious.

The temple doors also had restrictions on them, and they felt quite thick, but their power was weaker than that of the previous stone door.
