Some of the gods who had fought Zhao Fu still looked somewhat fearful, their expressions slightly stiff. Though Zhao Fu had become gentler, their bodies still hurt, leaving them unable to converse with him normally.
The other ordinary gods had no such reservations. They had merely watched from afar before, but now that Zhao Fu had become the Fighting God—the nominal master of this place—they naturally began currying favor with him.

Zhao Fu held his wine in one hand and smiled. "Then, thank you, everyone!" Then he drained the wine in his cup in one gulp.
The other gods also smiled as they drank their wine. The atmosphere grew lively, and the many gods chatted and laughed.
The gods whom Zhao Fu had beaten badly earlier saw him speaking and laughing so mildly, and much of the fear in their hearts faded. Their expressions no longer seemed so stiff.
