Zhao Fu controlled the old king and had him sit at the head of the long table, with the Fero Family head seated beside him. Everyone else took their seats one after another, and before long the hall was filled. All eyes turned toward the old king.
The old king raised his wine cup with a smile and said, "Come! Let us drink together—for the Locke Kingdom." With that, he tipped back his head and drained the cup in one gulp.
Everyone else raised their cups as well and emptied them in a single swallow.
The scene immediately grew lively. Groups of people at each table drank and chatted, while some tore into great mouthfuls of meat.
The old king also drank with the Fero Family members as though they were old friends.
What had begun at noon became night in the blink of an eye. Crystals throughout the hall lit up one after another, their white radiance illuminating the room. By now, some people had already collapsed drunkenly onto the tables, while the long tables were strewn with half-eaten dishes, looking rather messy.
The old king's face was flushed red, and he looked as though he were about to pass out. Smiling, he shared another cup with the Fero Family head, then fell facedown onto the long table and began snoring loudly.
Zhao Fu had a guard at his side help the old king away.
The Fero Family head was somewhat drunk as well. Supported by several guards, he returned to his room with his three wives.
Not long afterward, a man and a woman entered the room as well.
One was handsome and dressed in a black formal suit, while the other was beautiful and tall. Both were in their twenties; they were the Fero Family's eldest son
