A while later, the three men, including Dongfang Qin, woke up as well. Looking at Ximen Mei and the other two, they asked, "What happened?"
Ximen Mei said with a grim expression, "Nothing."
Ku Luo frowned. "Did Eighth Sister send someone to rescue us?"
Ximen Shi thought for a moment. "No. The formation at the flower field suddenly lifted, so I went back and rescued everyone."
Dongfang Qin said with a smile, "It's best that nothing happened. Let's go back!"
Everyone nodded.
At night, moonlight flowed like water. Ximen Shi sat before the window, a trace of melancholy on her face.
Shu Luo asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
Ximen Shi glanced at Shu Luo, unsure whether she should tell her husband about this. If he learned of it, he would surely be hurt. Though he would not abandon her, a great rift would still form between them.
Ximen Shi shook her head.
Shu Luo smiled and advised, "Don't overthink it. Go to sleep early!"
Ximen Shi forced a faint smile. "Mm, I understand. You should sleep early too!"
In another room, Ku Luo smiled as he embraced Ximen Mei from behind and said suggestively, "Wife, it's time for us to sleep."
