Volume One, Chapter Thirty-One
Long Huoyan said, "How do you possess such a terrifying ability?"
Zhao Fu said with a smile, "This is only one of my many abilities. I have powers even stronger than this."
Hearing this, the women were even more astonished.
Long Yehuo said, "Just who are you? I find it hard to believe that someone with so many terrifying powers could come from some small kingdom."
Zhao Fu said with a smile, "You'll find out later. How about submitting to me now?"
Long Yehuo gave a soft snort. "No!"
Zhao Fu chuckled. "Then I won't force you. In any case, I'll soon destroy the Dragon King Kingdom."
The women might not have believed him before, but after witnessing the terrifying abilities Great Qin had displayed, they had no choice but to believe him. Thinking of how the Dragon King Kingdom they served might be destroyed, their feelings became rather complicated.
Zhao Fu rose and left, intending to let the troops rest for a day before attacking the Dragon King Kingdom tomorrow.
The next day.
The Dragon King Kingdom's many ministers gathered together, their faces grave. They had already received word that Great Qin was advancing toward the Dragon King Kingdom.
The two armies met.
Atop the Dragon King Kingdom's walls, Longshen Yan watched the vast black mass of troops ahead with an icy expression. Behind her stood numerous ministers.
Zhao Fu and the many generals stood at the front of the army as well, looking toward the Dragon King Kingdom's forces on the walls.
Zhao Fu called out, "Great Qin has come for revenge this time. You would do best to submit to me now, or you will regret it."
Longshen Yan shouted coldly, "Don't delude yourself. My Dragon King Kingdom will never submit to anyone.
