King Bing Chun smiled in satisfaction. "Good! You may withdraw for now."
The old man responded and left.
"Three months?"
King Bing Chun pondered whether that was a little too long. But if the mother and son died suddenly in a short time, it would be far too obvious. King Bing Chun decided to let them live another three months.
Bing Hanmei and Bing Qixue knew nothing of this.
In the main hall, King Bing Chun began rewarding merit.
The greatest contributor was naturally Bing Qixue. King Bing Chun called him forward and bestowed upon him generous rewards.
Everyone was rather surprised. They had thought King Bing Chun would strip Bing Qixue of his position, but then they considered that perhaps the time was not yet right to depose him. Still, it was impossible for Bing Qixue to remain the heir—there would be no surprises there.
