Lan Mu nodded. "Things have already come to this. I have to make a choice. I'm happier by his side than I am by my husband's."
Lan Ziyan looked at Zhao Fu with her beautiful eyes and gave a light snort. "What's so good about a stinking man like him?"

Just then, the door was shoved open. A proud woman in a white dress looked at the scene before her, her face filled with fury. Pointing at Lan Ziyan and Lan Mu, she said, "You two actually did something so disgraceful!"
She was the First Madam, Lan Aoye.
Lan Ziyan had not gone to discuss matters the night before, so Lan Aoye had come over early this morning to check on her. Yet she heard that the two women were in a room with a man, so she immediately stepped forward, pushed open the door, and witnessed this scene.
