A day later, Zhao Fu brought Han Shui to a stretch of ruins in the land of ice and snow. This was where Han Shui's home had once stood.
Zhao Fu stood where he was and closed his eyes. A blue ripple spread outward, sweeping across the entire ruin.
Tiny blue motes floated up from the ground and rose into the air. These blue specks were remnants of the Eightfold Water World's power. So much residual power was enough to prove that the Eightfold Water World had indeed once been here—and that something terrifying had happened.
Zhao Fu opened his eyes.
Han Shui asked worriedly, "Did you find anything?"
Zhao Fu asked, "What exactly did your family do? Why is there so much of the Eightfold Water World's power left in this place?"
Han Shui said, "I don't know either. My grandfather said he wanted to use some method to draw upon the Eightfold Water World's power, but he never told me what that method was."
Zhao Fu said, "I'll sense it once more!"
Boom!
A thunderous boom rang out as Zhao Fu unleashed an enormous force. Blue ripples continuously spread outward, while some blue motes drifted beyond the ruins.
Zhao Fu withdrew his power and looked in that direction. "For some reason, the motes are drifting that way. The Eightfold Water World should have gone in that direction. Let's go take a look."
Han Shui nodded.
The two headed in that direction.
Half an hour later, Zhao Fu and Han Shui stopped and discovered numerous ice corpses. They had been dead for some time and appeared to have been a group of hunters.
Zhao Fu asked, "These aren't your relatives, are they?"
Han Shui nodded. "I don't know them."
Zhao Fu said, "There are blue
