By then, dawn had arrived. Zhao Fu began carrying out the next part of his plan: first, he summoned all the City Lords for an emergency meeting. Naturally, the City Lords controlled by Brain Worms understood what was happening.
The remaining thirty uncontrolled City Lords, however, knew nothing and sensed no danger. Since all City Lords had been summoned, they assumed something major had happened and hurried over.
Yet when they arrived, they could not help feeling annoyed. The other City Lords were feasting and drinking at a banquet—where was this supposed emergency?
At that moment, quite a few people they knew came over carrying fine wine and warmly pulled them in to drink together. Embarrassed to refuse, they joined them. Some, however, had matters to attend to and planned to leave, and no one stopped them.
But on their way back, one person blocked their path. The expressions of those dozen or so City Lords immediately changed, for they could sense that the other party possessed tremendous power and radiated dense killing intent toward them.
"Quick! Split up and run!" one person suddenly shouted. The other City Lords knew they were no match for Zhao Fu and scattered in all directions.
Zhao Fu merely gave a disdainful sneer. The five pupils in his left eye spun rapidly, and a terrifying power instantly surged forth. Countless iron chains, carrying astonishing force, shot toward the fleeing City Lords.
Before several City Lords could even react, their bodies were pierced through by countless iron chains, killing them on the spot. One City Lord Seal after another floated into view.
