Every mountain god, earth god, and river god had their memories forcibly searched by the six Immortals and the Wisdom Logic Anomalies through their Dao seeds and their connection to the Heavenly Dao Reincarnation Authority.
These cultivators were no longer in the same state as before!
They were still mortals at their core, but each carried a Dao seed created by the six Immortals and three Wisdom Logic Anomalies.
Their mental memories could be probed through those seeds. The seeds could not provide constant observation, however; the Immortals and Wisdom Logic Anomalies had to search actively.
That was the second reason the Immortals and Wisdom Logic Anomalies had created the seeds: to control them at a deeper level and, as far as possible, prevent anyone from using them to set a trap.
But the results startled the Immortals and Wisdom Logic Anomalies. They found nothing unusual in the memories.
Everyone appeared perfectly normal, as though their suspicions had been wrong.
"Strange. There's nothing wrong at all." Disbelief flickered in Haoran Sage's eyes.
Their deduction should have been sound, yet the result defied their expectations.
They exchanged uneasy looks, their expressions darkening.
"Li Qing's methods are even more covert than we thought. He can evade a memory search!" Chaos Yin-Yang Dao Lord's gaze turned grim.
"If I'm right, his power can even wipe their memories and karma clean!"
