But the Embryonic Void Radiance resisted fiercely. It did not crumble as easily as Superposition State Radiance had. Instead, it contracted tightly under Li Qing's control.
Its depletion was extremely slow. Li Qing breathed a sigh of relief; only now did he have time to explore.
He drove the Embryonic Void Radiance through the ocean of Void Radiance, stirring up a storm. By making the two powers collide again and again, he hoped to trigger the runes that should, in theory, exist.
To his disappointment, though the collision churned the ocean, it produced none of the runes he had expected.
Frowning, he continued extending his power into the depths of the ocean.
The inside of the Void Beast Core was like a universe unto itself. Its path clearly differed from the Way of Reality; two extreme principles had evidently evolved in different directions.

The Embryonic Void Radiance pressed deeper. Although its rate of depletion had fallen by more than ten thousandfold, the ongoing drain was still a bottomless pit.
The Void Radiance inside the Void Beast Core even grew slowly as a result.
Li Qing sighed. "The power of the Way of Void really is troublesome. It instinctively devours outside power to expand itself at every moment."
"I'll have to find a way to wear it down. Only then might its essence be exposed."
Having worked out the reason, Li Qing withdrew the Embryonic Void Radiance for the time being.
