There'll be another update at dawn. That's the last chapter I have in reserve. Starting Monday, I'll have to return to writing and posting chapters as I go. It's been three weeks since my new book came out, and this is the fourth, but its rankings aren't high. It hasn't managed to break into the top three on either the Member Clicks Bang or the Recommendations Bang, and it's always been hovering near the bottom. There are only three weeks left this month, and I'm desperate to raise its ranking. Fellow cultivators, please give me a hand!!

These three weeks have been humiliating. I can't describe the feeling. I saw the clicks being deducted, but what could I say? I've got blisters in my mouth and a fire in my heart, but what can I say? I have only one thing to ask: fellow cultivators, when I need you most, can you let me feel your warmth?

I want the rankings to improve. I want more people to see Seeking Demon. I'm confident I can write it well. I won't say it'll surpass Renegade Immortal, but it certainly won't fall short.

I'm confident. In fact, Seeking Demon's opening is much, much better than Renegade Immortal's. After three years and several million words of Renegade Immortal, have you still not developed faith in Er Gen?

Don't you all know that Er Gen's strength isn't in the opening? He makes a book better and better as he writes it!!

Renegade Immortal had a very poor opening back then, and its performance was a complete flop. Didn't you see how Er Gen worked diligently and brought a dead book back to life by sheer force? That was the spirit of defiance! My defiance, Wang Lin's defiance, and the defiance of all you fellow cultivators!

Now, that same spirit of defiance still lives in Seeking Demon. It isn't expressed as defying the immortals, but as Demon Burning!!

I'm not willing to accept it. I'm not willing to accept results like these during my new book's launch. Fellow cultivators, Rebel Cultivators, do you know how many people are watching us? Watching Er Gen, watching Seeking Demon, waiting to laugh at us, waiting for Er Gen to crash and burn? Have you seen the rating? Before there was a single word in the main text, people maliciously knocked the score down to just over one point.

What does that mean!!!

If my writing were bad, I wouldn't be this furious and humiliated. But I've asked a lot of people—I really have. I asked them what they thought of Seeking Demon. I gave it to strangers and people I know, and many of them read it. Their answer was: I didn't do anything wrong!

Maybe the opening isn't as good as others', but I haven't made a mistake! I'm also confident—absolutely confident—that Seeking Demon will get better and better!!

I'm not willing to accept this!!! Now, in these final three weeks, Er Gen needs help. I need the Rebel Cultivators, and I need the glory we shared back then. I need you!!!!

Where are you? At this most important moment, Er Gen bows and begs the heavens for help!!!

I'm going to rise up! I'm going to stand tall! I don't want people smugly laughing at me. I don't want the words Rebel Cultivator to be a flash in the pan. I don't want those people maliciously manipulating the ratings to laugh so brazenly.

I'm going to fight!! Even if Heaven mocks me and I ultimately lose, I'll still be able to say, loud and clear, with a calm heart:

"This defeat was not because I failed to fight!"

I'm going to storm the rankings. Will you help me!!!

If I take first place on either the Member Clicks Bang or the Recommendations Bang, Er Gen will post four chapters on Monday. My promise to fight isn't empty talk!!

If I take first place on both rankings, then even if I have to write until dawn, I'll fulfill my old boast of six updates a day!!
