Yang Chen rolled his eyes, utterly unconvinced. You keep promises? Honor oaths? What a joke.
Of course, he said none of this aloud. Instead, he said, "Now that we've signed the contract, we can leave Dragon Valley. How are you going to hide on me without being discovered?"
"To be honest, it'll be rather difficult. I'll use my own methods to conceal myself completely within you. For a period of time, you probably won't be able to contact me, sense Non-Self's presence, or summon me. I know it's cruel, and that you'll miss me, but there's no helping it. The Ice Fire Heavenly Phoenix giggled, her smile utterly unfathomable.
Then, with a blink, she instantly transformed into a mass of ice and fire, then into a streak of light that shot into Yang Chen's body.
She vanished so quickly that Yang Chen barely had time to react.
He instinctively tried to resist, but the Ice Fire Heavenly Phoenix had signed an Attachment Contract with him. He simply could not resist.
Yet in the blink of an eye, the Ice Fire Heavenly Phoenix had vanished without a trace. He could not sense where she had gone. He immediately called out to her several times, but there was no response, leaving Yang Chen utterly baffled.
