As Sasuke’s enormous Susanoo terrified Konoha, Shikaku and Hiashi independently ordered their clans to stay inside rather than obey the Hokage’s call to attack. Beneath Konoha, the Empire’s Vanguard prepared to move, while Root ninja launched an assault on Sasuke at the Uchiha Compound.

• Shikaku, Inoichi, and Choza agreed to keep the Ino-Shika-Cho clans in their compound and let Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo face the Empire.

Three Complete Body Susanoo and over a hundred Imperial ninja arrived in Konoha to carry out His Majesty Chiba’s decree to purge the corrupt village system. Konoha’s resistance quickly collapsed, and Sarutobi Hiruzen surrendered as Shisui Uchiha took control of the Hokage Building.

• Sarutobi Hiruzen learned the Barrier Squad had found no trace of the mysterious visitors before three Complete Body Susanoo appeared over Konoha with Sasuke, Shisui, Itachi, and the Imperial elite.
