"Hey, if I'd known you were the Su Ke who caught that thief, I wouldn't have lost my temper with you!" Zheng Mo had been in a foul mood these past few days, and it wasn't because her period had come to visit.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" Su Ke looked at Zheng Mo. Although the smile on her face hadn't faded, there was still a hint of distress between her brows—it was just a feeling he had.
Furthermore, for the sake of the mission issued by the Flower Picking System, Su Ke needed to probe a little. After he spoke, he heard Zheng Mo sigh. "It's so frustrating! It's all about the class basketball tournament! I told you, you wouldn't be able to help!"
"How do you know I can't help if you don't tell me? I'm a living Lei Feng! What basketball tournament were you talking about just now?" Once Su Ke said this, he couldn't hold on any longer. "Can we go somewhere else?" In the short time they had been standing there, the customers who had been browsing nearby had all quietly slipped away.
"Aren't you in a hurry to leave? You just said your sister was waiting for you to save her life!" Zheng Mo said, pointing at the Whisper pads in Su Ke's hand.
Su Ke finally realized what was happening. If he didn't go back now, the beauty salon might end up flooded. His face flushed red, knowing he couldn't afford any more delays. "Give me your number!"
"Why?" Zheng Mo asked.
"I'll help you with this favor! It's just a basketball tournament, right?"
"You make it sound so easy! Hey, what's your number? I'll call you!" As she spoke, Zheng Mo pulled a small, sleek, pure black mobile phone from the pocket of her hot pants and looked at Su Ke.
"Uh! I don't have a phone. Just read your number out, I'll remember it!" Su Ke scratched his head, thinking that he really should consider buying a phone; after all, it would be much more convenient for staying in touch sometimes.
After memorizing Zheng Mo's number, Su Ke was finally able to leave the feminine hygiene aisle. The moment he stepped away, a crowd of people squeezed in; because he had been standing there, many had felt too embarrassed to enter.
Carrying his shopping basket, he buried the pack of Whisper pads at the very bottom, took a deep breath, relaxed his mood, and marched toward the checkout counter with a sense of righteous indignation.
"Damn it!" Su Ke bolted out of the supermarket entrance as if his life depended on it. Carrying a large plastic bag, he gasped for air. The look of disgust on the cashier's face had nearly made him wet himself; he felt so ashamed, as if he were some kind of pervert.
Lin Xiaobai kept checking the time. Over ten minutes had passed, and there was still no sign of Su Ke. She was restless but didn't dare move; the damp sensation beneath her seemed to be spreading.
She clenched her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white, her eyes fixed on the glass door, never once looking away.
"Phew!" Finally, Su Ke's figure appeared. Lin Xiaobai let out a sigh of relief as she watched him walk toward her, carrying a large bag of items.
"Little Brother Su, you're finally back. I've been waiting for you like the stars and the moon!" Lin Xiaobai slowly rose from her chair, moving with extreme caution, like a slow-motion replay, and reached out toward Su Ke.
"Sister Xiaobai, I did my best, but the supermarket was just too crowded!" Su Ke would never admit that he had been too nervous to move for half the time. As he spoke, he placed the shopping bag on the front desk and reached in to fish out the pack of Whisper pads.
"Oh! Little Shota, let me see what you're up to?" Just then, the salon door was pushed open, and a burst of giggles came from behind Su Ke—a sound that felt somewhat familiar.
Su Ke turned around to see a woman who looked to be about thirty. She had the voluptuous figure of a young matron, and her skin was well-maintained, delicate, and radiant. When she smiled, her eyes curved into charming crescents, and she pointed a finger playfully at Su Ke.
Su Ke had indeed seen this woman before; she was a customer in the third-floor VIP area. She had been there when he was forced into a hug last time, but he still didn't know her name. Feeling awkward, he forced a smile and stood there, at a loss for what to do.
"Haha! Have you taken a fancy to our Xiaobai? But let me tell you, Little Shota, sending snacks isn't trendy anymore! You should be giving her a bouquet of flowers! Come here and let Sister give you a hug. I'll teach you a few tricks later and help you two get together!" the woman teased, opening her arms in a gesture of embrace.
As she opened her arms, the pair of "fat rabbits" on her chest became even more prominent. The V-neck T-shirt pulled that deep cleavage into a straight line, making Su Ke even more embarrassed; he had no idea what to say.
"Sister Meiling, what are you saying! Stop teasing me!" Lin Xiaobai's face turned bright red, and she quickly shoved the bag of items under the front desk, terrified that Meiling might see what was inside.
"Sister-younger brother romances are all the rage right now! Don't be shy, Xiaobai!" Zhang Meiling teased, walking over to stand beside Su Ke. "If you don't like sister-younger brother romances, Xiaobai, then I might just make a move myself!"
"Little Shota, I wonder if you like a mature woman like me?" She raised an eyebrow and shot Su Ke a flirtatious wink.
As soon as the woman walked over, Su Ke was hit by a wave of intense, sultry perfume. His scalp went numb; the scent seemed to trigger a rush of blood to his head.
Looking at Zhang Meiling's voluptuous hips and chest so close by—if Su Ke had leaned forward just a little, he would have touched those two mounds of flesh—his heart began to race, and he involuntarily took a step back.
"Oh, the Little Shota is shy again!" Zhang Meiling puffed out her chest. The more Su Ke blushed, the happier she seemed. Those two "big white rabbits" bounced with her movements, making Su Ke dizzy.
"Sister Meiling!" Su Ke gave a bitter smile.
Seeing Su Ke's expression of wanting to cry but having no tears, Zhang Meiling laughed until she shook, covering her cherry lips with her hand. "Giggle, I just love seeing you all shy like this. You're so pure—that's what a real Shota is!"
Lin Xiaobai watched Zhang Meiling flirting with Su Ke, feeling equally depressed. She had wanted to go to the restroom, but if Meiling rummaged through the bag Su Ke had bought and found the Whisper pads, there was no telling what she might say. She could only force herself to stand there.
"Damn it!" Su Ke's heart sank as he saw a new mission pop up in the Flower Picking System. He was stunned after reading it.
"Mission: Press your cheek against Zhang Meiling's breasts for one minute. Reward: Street Basketball Mastery (Intermediate)." This—this was practically inciting him to commit a crime!
Zhang Meiling noticed the bright red flush on Su Ke's delicate face and the way his eyes seemed to drift, wondering what he was thinking. She patted Su Ke on the shoulder. "Hey, Little Shota, what kind of beautiful dreams are you having?"
"Uh! No! Nothing!" Su Ke snapped back to reality and shook his head, denying it in a panic. He felt incredibly awkward. Was he supposed to tell her the truth? I was thinking about resting on your jade rabbit snow-capped mountains for a bit? Just for a minute?
