As Zhuang Hong pondered, the Spider Monster looked at the massive wound on her body, her expression growing increasingly frosty.

She muttered, "You're dead! This is unforgivable! Even if you apologize to me this time, I won't forgive you!"

Then her enormous body began to writhe violently, rapidly shrinking. Her eight jointed limbs retracted, and two long, pale legs extended from beneath her body and stepped onto the ground.

In the blink of an eye, she became a tall woman.

However, the woman's appearance was rather strange. Her hips bulged into a gray sphere, like a round life preserver.

Long, slender jointed limbs extended one after another from the life preserver, waving erratically around her. A slit opened at the tip of each limb, ejecting a gleaming white blade.

Zhuang Hong was somewhat puzzled by the Spider Monster's transformation. "Huh, what is she trying to do? Her huge spider body is hard and highly resistant to slashing. She was quite formidable—why turn into something so slender? It'll definitely be much easier for me to cut her down now."

After transforming into his Agile Form and fighting the Spider Monster, he had quickly figured out her abilities. The tension in his heart eased considerably, and his initial wariness faded.

Of course, Zhuang Hong had no intention of lowering his guard.

But the Spider Monster did not know what Zhuang Hong was thinking. She burst into laughter. "Aren't you fast? Then take a look at my speed too."

Zhuang Hong remained calm. He glanced back from the corner of his eye and swung his blade behind him without a second thought.

Blade and sword collided with a crisp ring.

Zhuang Hong's Chitin Greatsword was not as hard as the Spider Monster's blades and shattered immediately. Dark red chitin fragments flew in every direction, revealing the Dragon Tendon Sword encased within the greatsword.

Yet it was fully restored in an instant.

The Spider Monster, meanwhile, could not withstand the force of Zhuang Hong's swing, and her slender body was sent flying backward.

As she hung in midair, disbelief filled her delicate face. The speed she had always taken pride in had been countered?

Her incomparably swift attack had been blocked by a mere Core Combination Level mutated insect. Not only had he blocked it, he had even sent her flying!

Bang!

The Spider Monster slammed hard into the ground. After bouncing up, she flipped over and landed steadily, then looked ahead.

But Zhuang Hong was nowhere to be seen.

A chill ran through her as instinct warned her. "Left!"

Buzz!

With a buzzing sound, the ten jointed blades on the Spider Monster's left side danced at high speed, flashing with white light as they formed a barrier of blades.

Clang!

Another crisp ring sounded. Dark red chitin fragments burst apart, and the Spider Monster was sent flying by another slash.

Before the Spider Monster could land, Zhuang Hong stomped the ground and shot forward, catching up to her in an instant before sweeping his blade horizontally.

Clang!

The Spider Monster was once again sent flying by the powerful strike, though she had still managed to block this slash.

My strength and speed are indeed far superior to hers, and I can easily suppress her. Unfortunately, her blades are sharp and resilient, and her purple source power is of higher quality than mine. I really can't kill her quickly.

In that case... I'll try the martial technique I learned from Dancer.

With that thought, Zhuang Hong stamped his foot and flashed to the Spider Monster's side, slashing horizontally.

The Spider Monster blocked Zhuang Hong's strike and prepared to be sent flying, but when she received the blow, she realized that the force coming from his blade was wrong.

In an instant, the blades on nearly ten of the Spider Monster's jointed limbs buzzed without end. They stopped swinging and uncontrollably veered to either side, exposing a huge opening.

Zhuang Hong thrust out his other hand. A spike ejected from his palm and pierced the Spider Monster's chest.

Pfft!

The Spider Monster let out a scream, but she reacted extremely quickly. The blades she could still control on the other side slashed toward Zhuang Hong.

Vibration Sword Style!

Clang!

With another crisp ring, the jointed blades attacking Zhuang Hong lost control again. Taking the opportunity, Zhuang Hong drove a second spike into her neck.

Soon, a third, fourth, fifth spike... had been driven into the Spider Monster's body.

Every attack Zhuang Hong made knocked aside the Spider Monster's blades, allowing him to seize the chance to insert another spike.

He did not know where the Spider Monster's vital point was, so he stabbed everywhere. Perhaps he would hit something vital.

Before long, the Spider Monster's body was covered in Zhuang Hong's spikes. One had even pierced through her mouth and emerged from the back of her neck.

The Spider Monster wailed miserably, producing a hissing sound that seemed to leak air, while her body began to swell.

Huh? Is she changing back? But she's not the only one who can transform. So can I!

Second Liberation Form - Tank Form!

As the Spider Monster swelled and grew larger, Zhuang Hong rapidly thickened and expanded as well.

When the Spider Monster changed back into her original giant half-human, half-spider form, she discovered that a giant even taller than herself stood before her, looking down at her.

And that giant's fist was already raised high.

Zhuang Hong stared at her coldly and smashed it down without mercy.

The enormous fist came down on the Spider Monster's human upper body, hammering it straight into her massive torso.

Like a nail driven into wood.

The fist continued downward without losing momentum, smashing into the huge spider body.

With an explosive burst, the spider body immediately blew apart, blue-purple flesh and blood splattering everywhere.

The Spider Monster's eight jointed limbs twitched once, then stopped moving.

Zhuang Hong still did not feel reassured. He threw several more punches, only withdrawing his fist after reducing her to a mangled heap of flesh. He muttered, "So this is a Purple Rising Spirit Beast. She really was quite powerful."

After the battle ended, Zhuang Hong withdrew the qi spread throughout his body and slowly returned to his Normal Form.

With a thought, he activated Manipulation. The clothes and pants discarded nearby automatically flew over and slipped onto his body.

This left the onlookers stunned once again.

But Zhuang Hong did not care about them. Since his transformation ability had already been exposed, he no longer had so many reservations.

Woof woof woof!

Once everything had settled down, Xiao Bai ran out from some patch of grass, drooling as he charged straight toward the Spider Monster's flesh.

Only for Zhuang Hong to kick him away.

Zhuang Hong raised his foot threateningly and scolded, "Listen carefully, Xiao Bai. No matter what it is, only what I give you is yours. You can only eat when I tell you to eat. Otherwise, I'll give you a beating. Got it?"

"Whine..."

Xiao Bai ran back to Zhuang Hong's feet pitifully and circled around him.

Zhuang Hong looked around and saw everyone watching him from afar with bewildered, suspicious expressions, too afraid to approach. He decided to take the Spider Monster's corpse to another space and consume it.

Just as he wrapped the flesh in Fine Silk, he saw Dancer running over from afar. She stood nearby, hesitating as though she wanted to speak but could not bring herself to do so.

Zhuang Hong waved at Dancer. "Wait a moment. Whatever you want to say, wait until I come back."

With that, he stepped forward and gradually disappeared along with the Spider Monster's corpse.

Woof!

Xiao Bai followed close behind and vanished from everyone's sight as well.

Everyone stared at the now-empty patch of grass and fell into an eerie silence.

If not for the signs of battle on the ground and the blue-purple liquid scattered everywhere, they would have almost believed that the battle had never happened.

"Hand of God—Zhuang Hong. Who exactly is he? And what was that human-bodied Spider Monster..."
