Ch. 26Liberation and the Giant

Zhuang Hong opened the Secret Sea and discovered that using qi to nourish his body activated the power stored in his flesh, allowing him to transform into a giant warrior and then return to normal. After learning that human cultivation methods may have come from trolls, he sensed that the Other Self he sought was somewhere in the north.

  • Zhuang Hong formed a qi cluster and used it to nourish his flesh, triggering a transformation into a nearly five-meter-tall, armored giant with a tail.

Ch. 38You Want Me to Hold You Too

  • Zhuang Hong painted Xiao Bai black to avoid curious stares and continued toward Eternal Prosperity Gate, killing a Void Spirit along the way.
  • Zhuang Hong met Yu Fangchun, who was traveling to the same sect with his female dog, also named Xiao Bai, and shared his plan to become a martial artist like Zhuang Hong.
  • Zhuang Hong and Yu Fangchun reached Lake Heart Island, where Yu Fangchun registered, but the registrar rejected Zhuang Hong because he was already a Secret Sea Warrior.
  • Dancer arrived, recognized Zhuang Hong as Hand of God, and asked whether he had seen the message she had left for him.

Ch. 39Special Constitution

Zhuang Hong left with Dancer to learn systematic martial arts, startling her with his unconventional fighting style and declining her proposal. Dancer explained that qi unlocked the body’s potential for growth and that warriors gained strength by eating, while Zhuang Hong realized his understanding of cultivation had been incomplete.

  • After Zhuang Hong and Dancer left, the registrar and Yu Fangchun realized Zhuang Hong was the famous Hand of God and wondered whether Yu Fangchun was his friend.
  • Zhuang Hong told Dancer he had only recently opened his Secret Sea and wanted to study the Shadow God Art and open his other Secret Treasures.
  • Dancer challenged Zhuang Hong to a spar, but he slipped past her qi lock and tapped the back of her neck, leaving her unable to understand how he had won.
  • Dancer proposed that she and Zhuang Hong marry and have children, but he refused because his heart belonged to someone else.
  • Dancer began teaching Zhuang Hong basic warrior knowledge and explained that qi unlocked the body’s potential to grow, while food supplied the strength.

Ch. 40Second Liberation Form

Zhuang Hong tested how spreading qi through his body changed his transformed forms, discovering that the Tank Form brought immense strength and defense at the cost of speed. After returning to normal, he felt ravenously hungry and decided to hunt Void Spirits to replenish his power.

  • Zhuang Hong used twenty percent of his qi to transform into the Agile Form and tested its speed, naming it the First Liberation Form.
  • Zhuang Hong gradually increased the qi spread through his body until ninety percent triggered a bulky transformation.
  • Zhuang Hong tested the Tank Form by crushing a rock wall and found that it had tremendous strength and defensive power but poor mobility.
  • Zhuang Hong drew the qi back and returned to human form, then realized the transformation had left him physically drained.
  • Zhuang Hong considered eating Xiao Bai but decided to search nearby for Void Spirits instead.
