The name Uchiha Mikoto echoed in Liuxia's mind, seeming to stir some buried memory, yet he could not recall any details. He always felt he had heard it somewhere before—perhaps those old men who read books had mentioned it in his ear—but for now, he should apologize first.
"Miss Mikoto, I'm truly sorry. I really did mistake you for someone else just now and caused you trouble." Liuxia sincerely apologized to Uchiha Mikoto.
Uchiha Mikoto smiled faintly. "It's all right, Liuxia. Anyone could have such a misunderstanding."
Afterward, they all pitched in and began sorting through the things they had brought back. Amid the busy work, Nawaki quietly moved closer to Liuxia, and the two began whispering.
"Yan actually has such a beautiful older sister. When she came looking for us this morning, she really gave me a fright. I thought she was here to find you, like before." Nawaki's voice held a trace of teasing curiosity. Uchiha Mikoto's appearance had clearly taken him completely by surprise.
Liuxia chuckled softly and went along with him. "Yeah, she really is quite beautiful."
He answered Nawaki absentmindedly while tidying things up, his thoughts drifting elsewhere. He still felt that the name "Uchiha Mikoto" was familiar, as if it were important, yet he simply could not remember why.
Nawaki continued in a low voice, "Don't be fooled by the fact that Miss Mikoto isn't wearing Uchiha clan clothes. Yan told me on the way that his sister might have caught the eye of the Uchiha clan's young patriarch. He's been pursuing her recently!"
"The Uchiha clan's young patriarch?"
Liuxia was startled. He immediately thought of Uchiha Fugaku, who always looked so mature for his age.
If Uchiha Fugaku had taken an interest in an Uchiha clanswoman, then this woman definitely was not ordinary.
