Hatake Kakashi

Uchiha Lengfeng had been going crazy these past few days!

The woman he loved had actually left with Hyuga Kagami. Didn't that mean they were together?

His heart felt like it was being twisted by a knife!

"I'll never forgive you! Uzuki Yugao is mine, and she can only ever be mine!"

Hyuga Kagami looked at him strangely, as if he were an idiot. "If you want to pursue Uzuki Yugao, go talk to her. What does that have to do with me?"

Was there something wrong with this kid's head?

What the hell did this have to do with him?

Hearing Hyuga Kagami's words, Uchiha Lengfeng's face filled with indignation. "It's because of you that Yugao still hasn't accepted my advances!"

"Yugao said she already likes someone. It has to be you!"

His eyes blazed with fury. "So the only way to make Yugao change her mind, the only way to show her I'm the strongest man, is to take you down!"

If it weren't for Hyuga Kagami standing right in front of him—

He would've already won her over!

So this was all Hyuga Kagami's fault!

"Kid, is there something wrong with your brain?"

Hyuga Kagami had figured it out. Uchiha Lengfeng might have decent talent, but he was actually a lovesick fool and a simp!

"What does this have to do with me?"

He raised an eyebrow, looking bemused. "Uzuki Yugao doesn't like you because you're not her type. Even if I, Hyuga Kagami, didn't exist, there'd still be Ueno Kagami, Marukura Kagami, and so on..."

"Are you going to challenge them one by one, too?"

This whole romance thing—

A lot of people just didn't get it. When a girl said she liked someone, it might not be true, but there was nothing wrong with her turning you down!

So what if you couldn't win her over?

Just find someone else. There was bound to be someone out there with terrible taste, right?

Life was short. Don't go hanging yourself from the same tree, man!

Uchiha Lengfeng flushed red and roared, "I don't care! I'll only ever want Yugao. Today, I'm going to crush you and show Yugao what I can do!"

"Come on, Hyuga Kagami! Or are you scared?"

When it came to provoking people—

Uchiha Lengfeng was smug and cocky.

He was good at this!

"Fine."

Hyuga Kagami shrugged, unbothered. "Let's do it."

Uchiha Lengfeng's expression turned grave, but there was a hint of confidence in his eyes. He had rehearsed this challenge countless times. There was no way he could lose!

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

Boom!

The air churned as a wave of heat surged forward with a blazing fireball. It hurtled toward Hyuga Kagami, radiating such intense heat that the air warped around it!

The next moment—

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

He flung more than a dozen kunai, blocking every escape route Hyuga Kagami had!

"Hahaha! Hyuga Kagami, let's see how you dodge this time!"

Uchiha Lengfeng looked triumphant. With every escape route blocked, Hyuga Kagami had nowhere to run. Even if he didn't lose, he'd have to burn through a huge amount of chakra!

"You never learn, do you?"

Hyuga Kagami casually summoned the Great Hammer.

Now that he had the Kamui Dimension, summoning the Great Hammer was ridiculously convenient. All he had to do was reach out and pull it over!

But the Great Fireball obscured Uchiha Lengfeng's view, so he didn't see how it had been summoned.

"Armament Haki!"

Hyuga Kagami gave a quiet shout. Black Armament Haki rapidly spread over the Great Hammer. In an instant, the hammer turned completely black, gleaming with an unbreakable sheen. At that moment, it was even harder than a chakra weapon!

Hyuga Kagami's expression remained calm as he casually swung!

A low hum filled the air!

A surge of air exploded outward. The swing sent a gale sweeping across the field, as if it had formed a Wind Style: Kamaitachi!

One blow wiped out more than a dozen kunai and the Great Fireball Technique!

It was like casually swatting a few flies!

"H-How is this possible?!"

Uchiha Lengfeng's mouth hung open in disbelief. "He didn't use a single jutsu. One swing was enough to destroy my Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique and all my kunai?"

"Impossible! How could you do that?!"

As far as he knew—

No ninja had ever done anything like that.

Even a Taijutsu specialist shouldn't be capable of this, right?

All the preparations he'd made suddenly seemed like a joke!

"Get lost. I don't have time to play around with you."

Whoosh!

The air cracked.

The earth and stones beneath Hyuga Kagami's feet shattered as he shot forward like a cannonball and kicked Uchiha Lengfeng flying. He didn't use the hammer, or Uchiha Lengfeng would've been done for!

A different opening—

The same result.

Uchiha Lengfeng lay sprawled on the ground like a beaten dog, in a pitiful state. It was unclear whether he was alive or dead!

"Picking a fight when you don't have the strength to back it up? What did you expect?"

Hyuga Kagami dusted off his hands and casually let the Great Hammer drop to the ground.

An invisible vortex appeared in the earth and slowly swallowed the Great Hammer.

Back into the Kamui Dimension!

The Kamui Dimension really was damn useful!

A few minutes later, Uchiha Itachi and the team leader arrived.

"What took you so long?"

Hyuga Kagami raised an eyebrow and looked at the team leader. He wore a fox mask, with red markings covering only the mask's right half. His short white hair stood out immediately.

A short sword was strapped to his back.

Hyuga Kagami's eyes flickered.

Could this be... Hatake Kakashi?

"As a ninja, you need more than just your missions. You also need patience, like a lone wolf in the forest waiting for its prey."

Hatake Kakashi sized up Hyuga Kagami.

He was strong!

A hint of wariness rose in Kakashi's heart. He was nearly as tall as Kakashi, too. He didn't look like an eight-year-old boy at all; he seemed more like a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old!

"So that's your excuse for being late?"

Hyuga Kagami raised an eyebrow. That bastard Hatake Kakashi had already been in the habit of showing up late back in the Anbu!

"Perhaps I wasn't late. I just got lost along the road of life."

Hatake Kakashi felt a headache coming on.

This looked like a troublesome kid.

Was he really supposed to lead these two geniuses?

One was a genius of the Hyuga Clan.

The other was a genius of the Uchiha Clan. They'd both be difficult to manage!

Without overwhelming strength, it would be hard to get them to listen.

"And even if you were waiting, how long could you have waited?"

Hyuga Kagami pointed to Uchiha Lengfeng, who was lying by a nearby tree like a dead dog. "Long enough to beat someone up."

Hatake Kakashi: "..."

This was ridiculous!

He'd spent the waiting time beating someone up, too?

Did he have to be so violent?!

"Uchiha Lengfeng?"

Uchiha Itachi froze, his gaze turning cold. "Idiot!"

"Did he come looking for trouble with you again over something so trivial, Kagami?"

"Once we're back in the village, I won't let this guy off!"

He was always picking fights over a woman.

This wasn't the first time Uchiha Lengfeng had caused trouble for the Uchiha Clan!

"Then I'll leave him to you."

Hyuga Kagami waved a hand. He was sick of this kind of thing, too.

Who the hell liked being hassled all the time?

"These two are closer than I expected!"

Hatake Kakashi narrowed his eyes as he realized this.

"Are the genius of the Uchiha Clan and the genius of the Hyuga Clan friends?"

"And... it looks like Hyuga Kagami is the one in charge!"
