Aoba did not hesitate. Taking advantage of the momentary chaos, he flashed forward and silently approached the archer.
He gripped a small knife in his hand, Asuma's words echoing continuously in his mind: "There is no mercy in the world of ninjas."
He took a deep breath, then brought the knife down. The blade sliced precisely across the archer's throat.

Aoba's heartbeat suddenly quickened, and the knife in his hand trembled slightly. But he had no time to think, because the camp had already descended into chaos.

"Damn ninja, you're courting death!"
Black Wolf roared and brought his broadsword down violently, kicking up a fierce gust of wind.
Asuma shifted aside and easily avoided the blade, then launched a flying kick at Black Wolf's chest.
Black Wolf reacted quickly, raising his sword to block, but the tremendous force still drove him back two steps.
"Not bad."
Black Wolf grinned, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth. "But I've killed plenty of ninjas!"
"Is that so?"
Asuma sneered as a blue glow suddenly lit up along his Chakra Blades. "Then let me see just how capable you are!"
Aoba stood to one side, gripping the hilt of his knife tightly, his gaze darting back and forth between Asuma and Black Wolf.
