Kaleidoscope Shisui

"Brother Dongyi, what is the Mangekyou Sharingan? How is it different from a regular Sharingan?" Hearing someone discussing the topic, Hyuga Natsu asked while munching on a candied hawthorn.

Today was a day off, so Hyuga Gen had come out for a stroll with Hyuga Natsu. It had been a long time since they had gone shopping together, as most of their time was spent on training.

By now, Hyuga Natsu had fully mastered the Rasengan. Her Rotation was still lacking a bit of polish, but not by much; Hyuga Gen estimated that she would certainly master it within two years at the latest.

One had to remember that Hyuga Natsu was only ten years old; she would only be twelve in two years. If she mastered Rotation at twelve, even the Main House would likely be stunned.

Hyuga Gen's Fire Style training was also progressing well. He had already mastered the Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Technique. If Uchiha Izumi were to find out, her jaw would surely drop.

Recently, Hyuga Gen had been contemplating how to master the Great Fire Annihilation and the Dragon Flame Song Technique. The Great Fire Annihilation was likely a super-evolved version of the Great Fireball, and casting it required a massive amount of chakra.

Hyuga Gen felt that the Dragon Flame Song Technique was a fusion of the Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique and the Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Technique; this jutsu also consumed a vast amount of chakra.

Hyuga Gen was quite satisfied with his own chakra reserves. As his physical body grew stronger, his chakra capacity continued to increase. This was thanks to his soul merging with the original protagonist's after his transmigration, which resulted in exceptionally powerful mental energy. Consequently, Hyuga Gen learned everything quickly, possessed a near-photographic memory, and had excellent comprehension.

Because his mental energy was exceptionally strong—far exceeding his physical strength—his chakra storage capacity expanded as his physical body grew stronger. After all, chakra was the product of combining physical and mental energy.

Even so, Hyuga Gen felt that his current chakra levels were likely insufficient to cover the consumption of these two jutsus, given that he was only eleven. However, just because he couldn't do it now didn't mean he wouldn't be able to in the future, so he still wanted to figure them out. Even if he didn't use them now, they would come in handy later.

These few Fire Style jutsus were enough for him; he didn't need to learn any others. Hyuga Gen wasn't greedy, and after becoming a genin, he planned to focus his efforts on learning Wind Style jutsus.

"The difference is massive. People who have awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan and those who haven't are like heaven and earth."

"Generally, those who awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan gain two unique ocular jutsus. These two exclusive jutsus are incredibly powerful and differ from person to person. Some gain the ability to distort or traverse space; others gain black flames that burn everything or inescapable illusions, and so on."

"Once you obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan, you essentially possess Kage-level strength. If both eyes have gained exceptionally powerful ocular jutsus, it is even possible to surpass Kage-level. In short, it is extremely formidable," Hyuga Gen explained to Hyuga Natsu.

Of course, Hyuga Gen didn't mention the even more terrifying aspects. Forbidden jutsus of "bug" status like Izanami and Izanagi were simply unreasonable. Fortunately, they came at the cost of an eye; otherwise, the entire world might have belonged to the Uchiha.

"Is that so? Then that Uchiha Shisui fellow must be truly amazing," Hyuga Natsu couldn't help but exclaim.

"Indeed, it's a pity," Hyuga Gen sighed, for he knew that Shisui's death was not far off.

He didn't know what the Uchiha were thinking. Such matters should be kept secret from as many people as possible. One shouldn't reveal such a trump card to anyone, yet Shisui had even disclosed the effects of his "Kotoamatsukami." Who wouldn't be wary of him? Who wouldn't fear being hit by it suddenly?

Hyuga Gen really wanted to know what was going on in Uchiha Shisui's head. Were the most talented people truly the most naive? Naive to the point of stupidity. When Shisui revealed the effects of his ocular jutsu, Hyuga Gen imagined the expressions of the Third Hokage and Danzo must have been incredibly colorful.

Of course, ordinary people naturally wouldn't know the effects of his ocular jutsu; they only knew that there was a guy named Shisui in the Uchiha clan who had awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan and was very powerful.

"Brother Dongyi, what's a pity?" Hyuga Natsu asked curiously.

"Haha, it's nothing. Let's not talk about that, Xia. Since we're out today, let's have some fun. I'll take you to buy a few more pretty dresses; I want to see you wear them for me," Hyuga Gen quickly changed the subject.

"Unh-huh, always changing the subject. I won't let you see. But then again, pretty clothes are the most important," Hyuga Natsu thought with a hint of dissatisfaction, though she cheered up at the mention of beautiful clothes.

And so, they visited every clothing store in Konoha.

Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office, Danzo was discussing matters with the Third Hokage.

"The Uchiha clan is stirring again. We must eliminate Uchiha Shisui as soon as possible," Danzo said with a gloomy look in his eyes.

"Shisui is a good child. He is on our side; you just saw his stance earlier. If they truly rebel, he will use that illusion to resolve this uprising," the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, disagreed with Danzo's approach and spoke up.

"Hiruzen, don't be so naive. He is of the Uchiha clan. Do you really believe he would do that instead of rebelling with them? Can you guarantee it? Besides, don't you know the reason why the Uchiha are unable to restrain themselves this time?" Danzo asked in rapid succession, leaving Sarutobi Hiruzen no room to maneuver.

Sarutobi Hiruzen was, of course, aware that the reason the Uchiha clan had been restless lately was because Uchiha Shisui had awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan, which had greatly boosted the clan's confidence.

Poor Uchiha Shisui was caught in a dilemma, but fortunately, he was on the village's side; otherwise, civil war might have already broken out in Konoha.

"I trust that child. He is on the side of the village," Sarutobi Hiruzen said again.

"You know the effects of his ocular jutsu. Even those who awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan have rebelled before—think of Uchiha Madara and the others. If he were to use it on you one day, you might not be able to stop it. It is easier to act while he is still on the village's side; if he decides to stand with the Uchiha, it will be too late. After all, he is an Uchiha," Danzo continued.

"Enough, it is decided. I will handle it; you don't need to worry about the rest," seeing that Sarutobi Hiruzen was still hesitant, Danzo said firmly before slowly leaving the Hokage's office.

Walking out of the office and seeing that Sarutobi Hiruzen did not stop him, Danzo knew that Hiruzen had tacitly agreed, so he went down to make arrangements.

On the other side, in the Uchiha compound, a group of people was still arguing endlessly.

"Shisui, state your position. As a member of the Uchiha clan, you wouldn't really stand on the side of the village, would you? Do you really have the heart to watch us all die in front of you and remain indifferent?" an elder-like figure said to Uchiha Shisui.

Uchiha Shisui looked calmly at the group. His attempts to persuade them for so long had clearly been futile. From those pairs of red eyes, he could only see dissatisfaction, desire, and madness. Uchiha Shisui knew that he truly could not change this group of people who had already gone insane.

"I'm tired. I'm going to rest. I will give you a clear answer at this time tomorrow," he said, ignoring the group and leaving directly. Naturally, some commotion and curses followed him, but he treated them as wind past his ears and paid them no mind.

Looking up at the sunset in the distance, he didn't know where the way out for the Uchiha lay. He had just realized that even if he used "Kotoamatsukami," it could only affect one person; the effect would not be significant unless he could use it on all of them.

Even if he used "Kotoamatsukami" on the clan head, it would be a lone effort; the several elders would never give up, as they all supported the riot and rebellion.

So, where was the way out?
