That berserk aura spread outward like a shockwave.
Rubble leaped into the air. The ground rumbled, and dust flew so thickly that it was impossible to see.
The air grew heavy all at once, as if it had been filled with lead.
Even breathing was difficult.
The ground beneath Jiang Che's feet began to tremble faintly, cracks spreading outward like a spiderweb.
He could feel every grain of dust shaking. It was as if nothing remained but that golden figure.
Jiang Che stood and looked up at Vegeta in midair. The golden figure hung there, arcs of electricity and surging flames of energy swirling around him.
With the stark white sky behind him, he looked like a sun about to fall.
A trace of gravity appeared in Jiang Che's eyes.
He clenched his fists and straightened his back, feeling the pressure close around him like an invisible net.
Even breathing took extra effort.
Super Two... He really was powerful.
Standing here, Jiang Che could feel the surging power inside his opponent, ready to spill over—like a volcano on the verge of erupting, rumbling beneath its golden shell.
A scorching, metallic pressure filled the air, distorting even his vision.
Jiang Che's pupils contracted. His heartbeat sounded unnaturally loud—in the utter silence, it felt as though it were the only sound left.
"Kid, you can still surrender," Vegeta called down from above, looking down at Jiang Che with utter arrogance.
He lowered his head, a sneer curling his lips. His golden pupils gleamed with pride. "Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless. I won't go easy on a fool who refuses to admit defeat."
Wind swept between them, kicking up dust.
Jiang Che was silent for a few seconds before speaking. His voice was as still as a dead sea. "Surrender?" He looked up, a faint smile in his eyes—not mocking or provocative, but rather calm in a way that was hard to read. "When did I ever say I was going to surrender?"
"You—" Vegeta's expression changed sharply. His brows drew together, and veins bulged on his forehead.
He growled and leaned forward, stamping his foot against empty air. A wave of energy burst outward—he was about to unleash his power and blast Jiang Che to pieces.
But just as he was about to strike, he suddenly stopped, frozen in midair as if someone had pressed pause.
Vegeta sensed a strange presence.
It was extremely faint, almost negligible, yet somehow it made it hard to breathe—like a hidden current deep beneath the sea, or the eerie stillness before a storm.
It was subtle, but it sent a sudden chill down his spine and made his hair stand on end.
Vegeta's gaze locked onto Jiang Che. His pupils shrank, his eyes widening as if he'd seen something impossible.
A faint red glow began to seep from Jiang Che's body. At first, it was only a hazy blush, flowing across his skin.
Then the light grew brighter—from pale red to deep crimson, from a soft glow to blazing flames!
His hair turned a dazzling red—not dark red, but a lustrous crimson, like burning fire or flowing lava. Every strand shone, flickering and dancing.
Then Jiang Che's aura vanished completely.
It wasn't hidden or suppressed. It had simply disappeared without a trace.
It was as if the world had erased him—or he had become a stone, a tree, a speck of dust.
In Vegeta's perception, Jiang Che was gone. There was no energy fluctuation, no aura, not even the slightest sign of life.
And yet Vegeta could still see him. Jiang Che remained standing there, feet planted on the rubble, his body glowing faint red.
The light was gentle and sacred, like transparent amber enveloping him.
He stood there, as though a deity had emerged from an ancient temple—quiet, composed, and possessed of an authority no one could challenge.
Vegeta muttered, "What is this...?" His voice trembled slightly. His golden brows furrowed, and the smile vanished from his lips.
He had never seen a form like this.
In three hundred years of battle, he had seen countless warriors and countless transformations.
A Saiyan turning golden was common knowledge, an instinct written into their genes, the ultimate goal of every Saiyan warrior.
Even his father, King Vegeta, had never mentioned any other colors.
But red...
Jiang Che looked up. His red pupils, like burning rubies, pierced the air and fixed on Vegeta.
A faint, easy smile lifted his lips. "Are you ready?"
Before the words had even left his mouth, he vanished!
He really vanished—not moved, not charged.
Like water merging with the sea, like smoke dispersing into the wind.
Only a faint red afterimage remained, slowly fading in the air. Even the dust beneath his feet didn't stir.
Vegeta's pupils contracted to pinpricks. A deadly sense of danger poured over him like ice water, and every hair on his body stood on end.
There was no time to think, no time to turn, not even time to judge the situation. Relying on three hundred years of battle instinct, he crossed his arms over his chest. Every muscle in his body tensed to its limit as his golden aura and lightning compressed wildly into a shield!
But the next instant—
A knee was already slamming into his stomach!
It was so fast that even time couldn't react.
Vegeta hadn't seen the red blur appear. He hadn't heard it cut through the air, and he hadn't sensed a thing beforehand.
In a single instant, an indescribable force erupted from his abdomen!
It wasn't a blow. It was an explosion—like a small nuclear bomb had gone off inside his body!
"Puh—!"
Vegeta's entire body folded over, his back and waist bending violently backward, his chin lifting high, his eyes nearly splitting open.
A mouthful of hot blood sprayed out, drawing a ghastly crimson streak through the air.
He felt his internal organs crushed in a giant hand, his stomach churning violently, the metallic taste of blood filling his mouth.
Vegeta flew like a kite with its strings cut—no, like a heavy object blasted away by a cannon. He shot sideways through the air, the crack of it splitting the silence!
His vision spun wildly, sky and ground flashing back and forth as rubble and dust streaked past.
He slammed into the ground, bounced up, struck a rock, and bounced again—
"Boom!"
His body smashed through the first small mountain. Rock split apart, rubble rained down, and the impact left a mass of craters.
He didn't slow down at all. He kept flying sideways, tumbling—
"Boom!"
The second small mountain collapsed outright. Boulders crumbled to powder, and dust billowed into the sky, blotting out the sun.
A massive gouge was left in the mountainside, blood seeping from the rocky edges—
"Boom!"
