Background / History

Ba Dao is the hall master of Greenwood Town's Mad Blade Martial Hall, one of the town's two major powers alongside the Hundred Herb Pavilion. His position is supported by his cultivation, which exceeds that of the Pavilion's three experts. The martial hall receives sixty percent of Xia Xue's first-rank pill output, reflecting their established working relationship. 12

When Xia Xue asks him to admit Chu Xiaotian, Ba Dao readily accepts the request and gives Chu the first three levels of the Mad Battle Blade Art. He initially identifies Chu as an exceptional talent because he can sense and draw spiritual energy almost immediately, but concludes that Chu's unusual constitution prevents ordinary cultivation after observing that all absorbed energy is devoured. 12 13

Ba Dao later becomes one of Chu Xiaotian and Xia Xue's most dependable allies in Greenwood Town. He intervenes against the Greenwood Three Tigers, protects the martial hall during Huang Nian's assault, and assists in incapacitating Huang Nian's Sea-Opening Realm guards. 21 29 31
