The Path of Body Refinement, Reshaping Pano

Time flowed on.

On the Pano Plane, as numerous Morning Star Wizards led the wizard armies in a full-scale counteroffensive, the entire world gradually entered a phase of setting chaos right.

One nation after another returned to the control of the wizard camp, and city after city once more raised the banners of Wizard Civilization.

Lost territory was swiftly reclaimed, while the remaining forces of the Civilization of Gods retreated step by step. The advance was astonishingly rapid.

During this time, however, a rather subtle little episode occurred.

This counteroffensive war sweeping across the entire Pano Plane had, from beginning to end, been led and driven by the City of Earth. Sky City had not even been informed from start to finish.

Yet to everyone's surprise, Sky City acted completely out of character this time.

In the past, whenever war broke out on the ground, they had always maintained an aloof stance, staying above the fray. No matter how the situation changed, they rarely intervened of their own accord.

But this time, they dispatched elite units one after another, along with Morning Star Wizards, voluntarily rushing to support battlefields across the land.

Yet this sudden "enthusiasm" not only failed to earn much goodwill, but instead made people feel all the more that they were trying to cover their tracks.

After all, when the armies of the Civilization of Gods had previously pressed down upon them, when the City of Earth had stood on the brink of collapse and had nearly fallen, Sky City had remained lofty above it all, folding its arms and watching from the sidelines.

Now that the Civilization of Gods was doomed, and victory and defeat had already become clear, they could not wait to send reinforcements to join the fight.
