Origin

The Spirit of the Blue Sky is one of the four great Radiant Moon Sacred Artifacts of the Nature Divine Dynasty. Rather than being conventionally forged, these artifacts originated from fragments of the shattered divine spark of Chauntia, the fallen Goddess of Life and Nature; the fragments were later reforged and refined by wizards. It retains traces of Chauntia's life-and-nature authorities, though many of those traces are incomplete or degraded. 354 455 478

It was once regarded as the unique Radiant Moon Sacred Artifact lost by the Nature Divine Dynasty. Its disappearance remained significant enough that a Radiant Moon Crown eventually ordered the entire dynasty to search for it. 113 400

Seizure in the Dream Space

The artifact first manifests amid an incomplete sigil during the events in the Dream Space, where its life force surprises even the Lord of the Furnace. 113

In the confrontation at the lake, the Otherworld Creature produces the Spirit of the Blue Sky and uses its suppressive radiance against Lynn and Ald. The artifact strips Lynn of his available means and reduces him to the state of a Level 3 apprentice, while Ald is similarly imprisoned. 119

Maple Tree teaches Lynn the incantation required to contest control of the artifact through the Azure Sky Meditation Method. Although the Otherworld Creature initially possesses an advantage through Maple Tree's lingering aura, Maple Tree later calls upon the Spirit of the Blue Sky directly; its released power strikes and breaks the Golden Balance. 119 120 121

Lynn's Custody

Lynn subsequently uses the Spirit of the Blue Sky to seal the Golden Balance fragments he retained as leverage against the Otherworld Creature. By this point, he can maintain a connection to the artifact and activate it quickly enough to imprison the fragments in a pale-green cage. 149 161

Qi later fulfills part of the Contract of Balance by guiding Lynn to harvest faith from temples of the Goddess of the Weave. The Spirit of the Blue Sky processes this faith: part replenishes the artifact itself, while a portion is converted into spiritual power for Lynn. 164 166 182
