Tom pointed to the cauldron beside him, his tone serious. "Help me watch this cauldron. Follow the steps I gave you and add the ingredients once every hour. Absolutely no mistakes."

"If anyone comes over, hide with an Invisibility Charm. Don't alert anyone, and don't let the cauldron go out. Understand?"

"Understood! Kaka will definitely do it!" Kaka nodded vigorously, its tiny body standing beside the cauldron, its eyes resolute as though it had been entrusted with a grave mission.

Tom nodded in satisfaction, then carefully went over the steps for adding the ingredients several more times before finally feeling at ease.

He pulled out two pieces of toffee and handed them to Kaka. He still had classes tomorrow and needed to go back to sleep.

Just imagining Snape's reaction tomorrow when he discovered the ingredients had been stolen was amusing.

After taking only a few steps, he suddenly remembered something and turned back to Kaka.

"Oh, right. If you run into Hagrid, hide immediately. That guy's strong—if he accidentally knocks over the cauldron, we'll both be crying."

Kaka hurriedly nodded, carefully tucking the toffee into its pocket before obediently keeping watch beside the cauldron.

Tom looked at its well-behaved appearance and could not help smiling before turning and vanishing into the night of the Forbidden Forest.

Hogwarts house-elves regarded students as their masters. Unless Albus Dumbledore or another professor gave an overriding order, they would certainly obey your commands.

Dumbledore was not a god. How could he possibly keep track of every little thing?

The next morning, at the Gryffindor table, Ron was animatedly boasting about last night's "heroic deeds," spittle flying everywhere.
