Hogwarts dungeons.
Outside the office of the Head of Slytherin.
Devero took a deep breath.
He still felt a bit hesitant.
I wonder how Snape plans to deal with me?
He had just come from the common room.
Before dinner, he had gone to the hospital wing.
Madam Pomfrey had quickly given Devero a full-body examination.
She confirmed that there were no other issues with him.
However, she still lectured him at length about safety precautions.
Only then did she finally let him go.
Fortunately, Devero had copied her [Master Healer] trait.
It was worth it.
In the instant he copied it, Devero suddenly felt as if he had truly become an old doctor with over thirty years of practice!
He heard the system prompting him frantically.
[Ding!]
[New spell added to library!]
[New spell added to library!]
[New spell added to library!]
Dozens of healing spells were mastered by Devero with ease.
He even felt he could open a clinic outside!
And it didn't stop there.
Devero's mind was instantly flooded with a vast amount of knowledge and experience regarding herbs and potion brewing.
One had to know that the content in books was ultimately just theory.
Yet, this practical experience in potion brewing was the hardest thing to acquire!
Suddenly, Devero felt that his level of potion brewing was a whole grade higher than before!
With this experience, he might now be a true potion master in every sense!
Even today at noon, he had found new points of improvement for the Polyjuice Potion formula he had previously given to Snape.
And these were methods to make the Polyjuice Potion even more practical!
Experience-based traits were truly terrifying.
For wizards whose talents weren't top-tier, the things they accumulated after deep cultivation in a field for a very long time could be even more precious than talent itself!
Suddenly, Devero had a new idea.
Since people like Snape or Professor McGonagall possessed golden traits but hadn't yet fully realized their potential, could he help them further their studies and then convert their talent-based traits into experience-based ones?
He would be the one copying!
That would be too satisfying!
It would be equivalent to gaining the same experience and talent-based abilities without having to go through the long years of their accumulation!
Every time Devero thought of this...
He would break into a silly grin.
He couldn't even stop his drool from leaking out.
And so, he had gained an additional task.
That was to train those who possessed high-tier talent traits.
To let them realize their potential.
And then, he, Devero, would come in for a harvest!
Plan successful!
Just as Devero was still daydreaming about cultivating talented and extraordinary people in the future.
And then, in the final step, copying their abilities.
He was grinning at the sweet dream of them sighing in awe that Devero's talent surpassed their own, when a cold, low voice came from behind him.
"What are you grinning at? Aren't you a wizard? Can't you even open a door?"
As he spoke, Snape stepped out from the shadows of the corridor.
He was still wearing the same look as he had this morning.
Dressed in black robes.
His long hair obscured his cheeks.
Revealing only a pair of sharp eyes.
Or rather.
Snape was always styled this way.
Upon seeing him, Devero immediately puffed out his chest, straightened his back, and stood at attention.
He adopted a submissive attitude.
He had, after all, just talked back to Snape in class.
He only prayed that Snape wouldn't do something like the pink toad and keep him in detention every single day.
"What are you standing there for? Get in."
With a flick of his wand, Snape opened the office door automatically.
Devero immediately sidled inside.
Snape followed closely behind.
"Alohomora. I should have demonstrated it to you during that test at the start of the term, right? Do you still remember it?"
Snape plopped down into his main seat.
He looked at Devero with a sidelong glance.
"Of course I remember."
Devero nodded, full of confidence.
In truth, even before that test to evaluate his magical talent.
Devero had already learned this spell on the street just by observing others casting it.
Naturally, he was extremely proficient at it.
"Very well. From now on, if I am not here on Fridays, you can come here yourself."
Snape stood up and said indifferently.
Huh?
Devero hadn't yet processed what Snape meant by that.
Snape turned and walked toward a door.
"Alohomora!"
The lock clicked open instantly.
Accompanied by a faint click.
The door slowly swung open.
"Come here."
Snape turned back to call to Devero, who was still stunned in his chair.
Devero hurried to catch up.
He walked into Snape's Storage Room.
The door to the Storage Room closed automatically behind them.
It let out a dull thud.
Devero looked around.
He was immediately captivated by everything before his eyes.
The layout of the Storage Room was very orderly.
It was divided into three main sections.
Displayed along three walls.
One wall held the body parts and remains of magical creatures.
Most were submerged in liquids of various colors.
Some of these liquids were clear and transparent.
Others appeared a deep blue or green.
There were even some that were a murky yellow.
The remains inside the bottles varied in form.
Some were dragon claws.
Some were unicorn tails.
And others were werewolf teeth.
Every bottle was affixed with a detailed label.
Recording the collection date and purpose.
Devero stared, his eyes wide.
The powerful magic contained within these items.
Caused his Potion Spirit to resonate instantly.
He wanted nothing more than to pack them all up and take them to his laboratory immediately.
To toss them into a cauldron!
Forcing down this impulse.
Devero looked toward the next wall.
The other wall held magical herbs.
Most had already been dehydrated and dried.
Such as nettles, mandrakes, and agave.
They were all stored in transparent glass jars.
These herbs emitted a faint fragrance.
Some leaves were a deep green.
While some flowers were brightly colored and looked somewhat dangerous.
Each jar was also labeled.
Detailing the herb's name, collection time, and storage method.
This section was the most conventional.
But Devero couldn't help but frown as he looked at it.
After all, in the brewing of certain potions.
Fresh, living herbs were absolutely essential.
But why were there only these dried goods in Snape's Storage Room?
That didn't seem very professional!
Carrying this doubt.
Devero looked toward the final wall.
The wall in the center held some finished potions.
Basically, they were all extremely precious concoctions.
Devero's gaze was drawn to one of the bottles.
The bottle had a label on it that read "Veritaserum."
Good heavens! So Snape keeps Veritaserum on hand all year round? Who does he want to force to drink this?
Devero clicked his tongue in secret.
Besides this.
There were many other precious potions.
It looked like a freshly brewed batch of Polyjuice Potion.
There were also Felix Felicis, Skele-Gro, Sleeping Draughts, and Antidotes, among others.
These bottles were neatly arranged on the shelves.
Each one emitted a faint glow.
Devero licked his dry lips.
These potions were rare treasures that couldn't be bought on the outside!
To think Snape had so many of them here!
But surprise was just surprise.
Devero still didn't quite understand why Snape had brought him into his Storage Room.
Could it be!
A cold glint flashed in Devero's eyes.
Is he planning to kill me and then pickle me in these solutions?
Of course, that was impossible.
But Devero truly couldn't figure it out.
Just as he was letting his imagination run wild.
Snape turned around.
His pitch-black eyes fixed upon him.
"I have already told you how to get in; feel free to use whatever is here."
As he spoke.
He frowned slightly.
Then he shook his head.
"Be a little frugal; these things are not easy to come by."
Devero's eyes went round as saucers in an instant!
