Before entering the Dragon Ball World, Lin Feng was a young student and devoted Dragon Ball fan. His apartment was filled with series merchandise, manga, novels, posters, and handmade fan creations. He published Dragon Ball articles and reviews online, excelled academically—particularly in history and literature—and dreamed of becoming a warrior like Son Goku. 1

While asleep reading Dragon Ball fan fiction, Lin Feng was transported to a forest in the Dragon Ball World. A voice informed him that he had acquired the Super Dragon Ball System.
