With a cheer, the pirates poured off the ship, eagerly searching for the scattered riches.
These excited fellows seemed to have forgotten that the island in front of them was still burning.
The giant bird had stopped struggling. Flames poured from its body, and everything around it had become a blazing inferno.

Even though Dunn had only just eaten the fruit, the flames he controlled were already enough to kill a beast like this.
Though the giant bird was immensely strong, it had no way to resist the flames pouring from within its body.
Orange flames gathered around the burning bird's head. Then a hand suddenly reached out of its enormous beak and grabbed the edge.
Dunn climbed out, his body wreathed in flames.
The orange fire draped over him like a coat. Under its influence, his black hair seemed to turn orange, billowing with the dancing flames.

Dunn, who still hadn't recovered from the whirlwind of events, was jolted alert by something that suddenly appeared in his mind.

After taking a lethal hit, he could enter a ten-minute invincible state. During those ten minutes, all his attributes would increase tenfold, and his HP wouldn't decrease.

A scruffy pirate clutching a gleaming curved saber walked over with more than a dozen underlings, eyeing Dunn, who was wreathed in flames.
Dunn looked them over, then glanced past them at the pirate ship moored by the shore.
This was one of the things the world of One Piece was famous for:
Pirates of every stripe, setting sail for all sorts of reasons.
He hadn't seen any pirate ships around the island from the bird's nest above. Perhaps the flames had drawn them here.
But what surprised Dunn was that he could understand these pirates. If they were pirates, then he could understand them.
Was it because of Body Digitization, or because he'd been transported to another world?
The thought passed through Dunn's mind and was gone.
The curved saber was already pressed against his neck.
"Kid, hand over the treasure you found. The great Doru will spare your life and let you join my ship."
"So, great Doru, do you have a bounty?"
Dunn glanced at the blade against his neck and asked calmly.
"Of course! I'm a great pirate with a bounty of two million five hundred thousand Belly. I'm already the strongest in the East Blue."
Two million five hundred thousand Belly?
Dunn smiled.
Startup funds. They'd just fallen right into his lap!
