On the Rose Hunter, Dunn watched Nel and the others return, his gaze falling on the half of a wreckage Starrk carried in his hand.
"There was no way to hold back against this guy. His ability was troublesome."
Noticing Dunn's gaze, Starrk gave a rare explanation.
"Are all your abilities innate?"
After hearing Starrk's words, Dunn withdrew his gaze from Baraggan and casually asked.
"I'm not really sure about that."
Hearing Dunn ask about this, Starrk thought for a moment before shaking his head.
"My memories from before I gained consciousness are blurry. But once I became conscious and understood what I was, I already had this power."
Starrk's answer made Nel nod repeatedly.
Apparently, she was the same.
"Interesting."
Dunn smiled, then gestured for Starrk to put Baraggan down.
"About how long will it take him to recover?"
"He has regenerative abilities, but not High-Speed Regeneration. It'll probably take quite a while."
After setting down Baraggan's remains, Starrk answered.
"I see. Then I have another task for you."
As Dunn spoke, he looked into the distance around them.
The attack he had launched earlier had left obvious traces behind.
Some of the yellow sand had melted under the high heat before solidifying again.
"I'll probably be staying here for a while. During that time, you'll do some things for me. When I'm ready to leave, I'll let you go."
"Alright!"
Starrk nodded decisively at that, not even asking anything else.
Nel and Harribel reacted much the same way.
"You don't have any other objections?"
Seeing them agree so readily, Dunn was instead somewhat surprised.
"This is just how it is here. You're stronger than us, so your words carry more weight. After all, those who didn't know to submit before the strong are mostly already dead."
Seeing Dunn's
