The royal capital, Crocus, had long been known as the City of Flowers.
A vast area in the north of the city was a sea of carefully cultivated flowers.
When the night wind swept through, colorful petals danced across the sky, the scenery dreamlike and beautiful.
Lu Chongwei and Mirajane walked side by side along a path through the flower fields, enjoying a rare moment alone together.
Mirajane carried a strawberry cake, while Lu Chongwei held two bottles of warm milk.
The two found a bench covered in fallen petals and sat down quietly.
"So sweet."
Mirajane took a small bite of cake and smiled in satisfaction.
She speared a piece of cake with her fork and held it to Lu Chongwei's lips.
"Try some."
Lu Chongwei opened his mouth and ate it, then casually wiped the cream from the corner of her mouth.
"It really is good."
He looked at the flowers blooming all around them, then casually broke off a few vines and several roses.
His fingers moved deftly, and in moments he had woven an exquisite flower crown.
"Lower your head," Lu Chongwei said softly.
Mirajane obediently lowered her head, letting him place the flower crown atop it.
Her long golden hair paired with the vivid red roses looked especially dazzling beneath the moonlight.
"Does it look good?" Mirajane raised her head, her cheeks flushed.
"It looks beautiful," Lu Chongwei said, his voice slightly low.
He leaned forward and, amid the fluttering petals filling the sky, gently kissed her lips.
Mirajane closed her eyes, her lashes trembling lightly, and raised her arms around his neck, responding fervently.
The evening breeze was gentle, the atmosphere serene, and time seemed to stop in that moment.
The melodious tolling of the clock tower broke the quiet of the flower fields.
